Twenty years ago today, we established Televate, LLC to advance the communications capabilities of public safety. The underlying idea for Televate was born on 9/11/2001 and in the days following that tragedy. Our primary focus then, as it remains today, is to provide the first responder community with professional services to improve and continually evolve interoperable communications. In the wake of 9/11, we witnessed the communications challenges experienced by these extraordinary public safety responders, and we resolved to assist in achieving reliable communication. In the twenty years since, we have even greater appreciation and admiration for the first responder community, and we are extremely thankful for the opportunity to work with them and to contribute our services nationwide.
Since our early years focused on public safety communications, we have expanded our services portfolio to include commercial cellular networks, private land mobile radio, utilities, transportation, community broadband, private LTE systems, and in-building distributed antenna systems. We’re immensely proud of our diverse technical and operational accomplishments over these twenty years and grateful for the many friends we’ve made on this journey. Our press release today highlights several of our notable successes and touches on our objectives for the future. In the coming years, we’ll focus on expanding our expertise and services, advance communications innovations, and continue our dedication to our customers. These are emerging areas where municipalities need assistance, and we’re committing our resources to support these objectives.
Televate will leverage our team’s knowledge and experience with wireless broadband, land mobile radio, information technology, mobile applications, airborne communications, satellite systems, NG 9-1-1, and mission critical communications in the coming years to take advantage of new innovations that are on the horizon. We look forward to guiding our customers to take full advantage of these solutions.
This blog will be a place for our team to help educate and inform our customers and the public safety community and to discuss the ever-changing landscape. Already we have queued up posts about testing land mobile radio networks, cellular coverage analysis, and how low earth orbit satellite can be a game changer for mission critical communications. We want to hear from you, so let us know if there are additional topics you’d like us to address! Send us a note at blog@televate.com to suggest future topics of interest, or just to say hello and share your thoughts.
With sincere appreciation,
Rick Burke and Joe Ross
